An Important Update

An Important Update From Your Sierra Pharmacy Family

Dear Sierra Pharmacy Patients,

We want to personally share some news with you. After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to permanently close our Retail Pharmacy Department on December 31, 2026.

But we're not going anywhere!

Our Compounding Pharmacy and Medical Supplies departments will continue operating as usual, and our team will still be here to serve you.

We are incredibly grateful for the trust you have placed in us over the years. We have had the privilege of getting to know so many of you, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to be part of your healthcare journey.

We understand that changing pharmacies can be inconvenient, and we are committed to making this transition as easy and stress-free as possible.

Thank you for being part of our Sierra Pharmacy family!

With appreciation,

Your Sierra Compounding Pharmacy Team

What Is Changing and What Is Staying the Same?

One department is closing. The rest of your pharmacy is here to stay.

What Is Changing

Retail Pharmacy Department

Our traditional retail prescription services will permanently end on December 31, 2026.

This includes commercially manufactured, ready-made prescription medications typically filled at a neighborhood retail pharmacy.

Patients who receive retail prescriptions from us will need to select another retail pharmacy.

What Is Staying the Same

We Are Still Here for You

Our Compounding Pharmacy and Medical Supplies departments will continue operating as usual.

  • Custom-compounded prescription medications
  • Personalized medication formulations
  • Medical supplies and related services
  • Our familiar Sierra Pharmacy team

If you currently receive compounded medications or medical supplies from us, these departments are not closing.

Prescription Transfers

Moving Your Retail Prescriptions? We Are Here to Help

  1. 1

    Choose Your New Pharmacy

Pick any retail pharmacy you prefer. Just be sure to confirm that your new pharmacy accepts your prescription insurance and is in your insurance network.

  2. 2

Ask Your New Pharmacy to Contact Us

Give your new pharmacy our phone number and a list of the medications you would like transferred. Your new pharmacy can contact our team directly to request the transfer of eligible prescriptions. We will work with them to provide the necessary prescription information.

    (909) 989-9800
  3. 3

    Double-Check Everything

Once your new pharmacy completes the transfer, we recommend confirming with them that all your medications, directions, and remaining refills have been transferred accurately.

A friendly reminder: we recommend starting the transfer process before December 31, 2026 to help avoid interruptions in your medication therapy.

Some prescriptions, including certain controlled substances, may have additional transfer restrictions or require a new prescription from your healthcare provider. Our team can help explain your options.

Need a little help? That is what we are here for.

Please do not hesitate to call or visit us. We are happy to answer questions and help make your transition easier.
